Building Out of the Box

On July 17th, 2018, the Builders of Color Coalition, in partnership with AAREP New England and The Grossman Companies, hosted a tour of Boston’s most visible new modular apartment building, Trac75, which opened a year ago in a dynamic, new neighborhood of Allston. Brookline Bank and Seyfarth Shaw sponsored this event.

Dave Madan, BCC organizers, shared “It was a wonderful evening. Important connections were made, new ideas were developed, and great food and drink were enjoyed. BCC appreciates the partnership of The Grossman Companies, Brookline Bank, and Seyfarth Shaw in opening up their innovative development as a key learning opportunity for our members.”

The project developer, The Grossman Companies, shared a presentation on some of the challenges and opportunities that they discovered in building this innovative modular project. Delicious catering was provided by Lyndigo Spice and Sweet Teez Bakery.

The Builders of Color Coalition (BCC) convenes minority real estate professionals in Greater Boston’s building sector for the purposes of mutual professional development and leveraged access to development projects. BCC’s membership comprises developers, investors, architects, attorneys, bankers, contractors, and brokers working across a wide range of firms, from family-owned enterprises to multinational companies.
