Development Opportunities Tour: Brockton

1.jpg

The Builders of Color Coalition and African-American Real Estate Professionals were treated to a real estate tour of the City of Brockton, hosted by MassDevelopment and the City of Brockton.  Over lunch, Rob May and Robert Jenkins gave us an understanding of the city’s development history, neighborhoods, and opportunities for investment.  May and Jenkins then led a walking tour of the City’s downtown that included stops at properties currently available.  After getting the lay of the land, participants had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and some additional networking over local beers at PROVA!

MassDevelopment hosted this special tour as part of their Transformative Development Initiative (TDI), a place-based development program for Gateway Cities to enhance quality of life and spur increased investment and economic activity, by coordinating private and public-sector partners and assisting with development funding for private landowners, enterprises, and investors.
