Bold Leadership for a Bold Vision: Could You Be BCC’s Next Executive Director?

The Board of Directors is undertaking a search for an Executive Director to lead BCC in an exciting time of growth in pursuing its mission to promote racial equity by increasing access and diversity throughout the commercial real estate industry in Boston and beyond.

The next Executive Director of BCC will be taking the helm as we unveil an ambitious yet focused strategic plan for 2025-2028 that outlines expansions of our fellowships, best practices research, leadership development, and network benefits efforts. They will be tasked with maintaining our existing programs and partnerships while integrating these new initiatives and building the staff, fundraising, and systems to do so. While knowledge of commercial real estate is helpful, BCC is seeking candidates that are comfortable with economic development and systems change frameworks and implementation, facilitating organizational capacity-building and change, and establishing and strengthening relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

BCC began in part as a response to the incorrect albeit common refrain that developers of color could not be found to participate in the ownership and development teams of projects in the Greater Boston area. Our work supports and highlights the capabilities of our diverse network, so we know that BCC members and friends are an excellent resource for our search. If you or someone you know may be interested in this opportunity, please review the position posting for more information.
