The Builders of Color Coalition (BCC), African American Real Estate Professionals, and UFI Community Land Trust will co-host a groundbreaking forum showcasing recent developments as case studies in utilizing the tools of real estate development to advance community interests.
Whereas real estate and community development are often perceived as being in conflict, this forum will highlight opportunities for developers and community practitioners to work together to build vibrant, healthy, resourced neighborhoods. Special attention will be paid to how traditional mechanisms of site control, acquisition, financing, and permitting can be adapted to fit community development models. The forum will be primarily geared towards real estate developers seeking to expand the scope and mission of their work.
