The Builders of Color Coalition, African-American Real Estate Professionals and Redgate invite you to a tour of the historic redevelopment of South Boston’s former Edison Power Plant, recreating a vital portion of the Boston waterfront, and serving as a dynamic new gateway between the Seaport and South Boston.
The power plant was first opened in the 1800’s and since then has been used for coal, oil, and natural gas power generation. Since 2007, the site has gone underutilized, awaiting the next chapter in its history. The groundbreaking 15 acre, 2.1 million square foot development will include 8 new buildings comprising residential, office, hotel, retail, arts, and waterfront public space.
The tour will begin at 5:30pm, followed by a cocktail mixer with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
